Role and responsibilities
- Conduct secondary research and analyse and summarise the findings in the form of reports
- Conduct impact assessment studies including studying NGO programs, and conducting primary research by developing assessment questionnaires and administering them in the community
- Design and development of research tools and frameworks for needs assessments, impact assessments, program evaluation, and baseline surveys
- Conduct and supervise field visits by leading and training the field teams in the project locations
- Interviewing key stakeholders in the client, conducting on-site observations, and gathering and organising information
- Manage and conduct data collection, data entry, and data analysis with the field researchers and the Social Lens team
- Analyse quantitative and qualitative data and present findings through the help of data visualisation tools
- Generate deep insights through analysis of the client and internal data
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations and written reports, analysing research data including operational and financial and other data
- Support ad-hoc data requests from various business stakeholders
- Development of materials and assignments for the training workshops on data related capacity building
- Supporting the teams on any events/conferences / white papers and as such as required
- Working with NPO M&E and program teams for hand holding the teams in using technology products designed and developed by SL
- Supporting the communications function where necessary on writing blog posts/social media posts
Competencies
- Master’s degree – MBA/ MSc / Statistics / Public Policy/ Political Science / Economics
- Excellent English communication skills – speaking and writing
- Knowledge of intermediate-level statistics
- Ability to multi-task and work in tight deadlines
- Advanced MS Excel skills, proficient in MS office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and G-Suite and tech-savvy in general
- Passion for high quality work and attention to detail
- Analytical thinking and great problem-solving skills
Preferred
- Past experience in the development sector/consulting/advisory
- Experience with data collection tools and data analysis tools
